Moondance was our 1990 Hunter 28' sloop. We purchased her in August 1997 and her home port was Deale, Maryland, east of Washington DC on the Chesapeake Bay. She was named after the Van Morrison song we danced to at our wedding. On her, we sailed the entire length of the Bay several times, and circumnavigated the Delmarva Peninsula, traversing the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, Delaware River, and the Atlantic Ocean from Cape May, New Jersey to Norfolk, Virginia. Most of the on-water lighthouses on this site were shot from her deck. In January 2004 we decided to upgrade to a new and larger boat. She was listed in February and sold in April. She was a great boat and ideally suited for a couple cruising the Chesapeake Bay.
